Many people travel to Memphis during the fall months to catch some beautiful fall foliage. But there is so much more to see and do. Here are some fun fall events in Memphis that you should add to your calendar.
Levitt Shell Fall Concert Series
Every Thursday through Sunday evening through Oct. 21, you can catch free shows at Overton Park’s historic Levitt Shell. Live performances will include local musical favorites and other touring acts.
A Paranormal Evening with Alice Cooper
Experience the spectacle and hard-rocking tunes of Alice Cooper, who visits the historic Orpheum Theatre on Oct. 19. Known as much for his on-stage antics and set pieces as he is for songs like “Eighteen” and “Feed My Frankenstein,” Alice Cooper promises to put on a show you’re not soon to forget.
Cooper Young Beerfest
Sample some of the best beers from Memphis’ local breweries at the Cooper Young Beerfest, which takes place on Oct. 20. Whether you prefer a pale ale or a strong lager, be sure that you have a designated driver on tap.
Día de los Muertos Parade and Festival
Celebrate the Mexican tradition of Día de los Muertos in the Tower Courtyard at Overton Square starting at 11 a.m. on Oct. 27. After the parade concludes, the festival commences at Memphis Brooks Museum of Art starting at noon.
