For the 2019 model year, Dodge is revamping the Charger and adding new, more versatile options to the lineup. The 2019 Dodge Charger lineup will be as exciting as ever with thrilling power and advanced features.
Steve Beahm, head of Passenger Car Brands, FCA North America, said, “Charger is on track to lead the large car segment in the United States for the fifth straight year in 2018, and we intend to keep that string alive by updating the product to deliver the performance and capability that our customers demand.”
In 2019, the Charger will get a new SXT all-wheel-drive model. It will be powered by the award-winning Pentastar® V6 engine rated at 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain is expected to deliver up to an EPA-estimated 27 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel drive system comes with an active transfer case to help minimize powertrain losses.
Another exciting addition is a new Dodge Charger GT performance model. It too will come with the 300-horsepower Pentastar® V6. It will have unique performance-oriented styling like a performance hood, sculpted side sills, a spoiler, and seats. It will also come standard with a performance suspension and enhanced steering with paddle shifters.
